Los mejores de Risley - Risley´s Best
Risley es una escuela primaria situada en Bruce Grove, en el barrio de Tottenham en el norte de Londres. Los participantes de sexto curso de este centro tomaron parte en un cursillo de fotografía de cuatro semanas en el que se incluyeron dos actividades diferentes.
Por un lado produjeron la colección “Mi Escuela” en la que aprendieron a utilizar una cámara automática y así retrataron su propia escuela. Por otra parte participaron en “Retratos” una iniciativa en la que los participantes que lo desearon trajeron sus ropas preferidas y se disfrazaron para ser retratados. Acto seguido p
articiparon en sesiones de laboratorio en el colegio en las que pudieron aprender a revelar en blanco y negro. Los resultados fueron excelentes y todos disfrutaron y experimentaron la magia de la fotografía a través de su propio retrato.

On one hand they got involved in “My school” where they learn how to operate an automatic camera and how to take pictures while portraying their own school. They produced amazing pictures, which were presented with their personal writings in an exhibition of all works at the school.
On the other hand “Get your portrait” where participants were asked to bring costumes or special clothes so they could had their portrait taken. Then they learnt how to develop their own picture in Black and White. The results were of great quality and all students end up experiencing the magic of photography trough their own portraits.
